N. Sumner and N. Williams
Sumner Brownstones is the name of our upscale duplexes off North Williams between Alberta and Killingsworth in Portland—an urban, transit-oriented location. When UDP acquired Sumner Brownstones in early 2011, construction was nearly complete, but the project had been stalled for almost two years and the units were never occupied. We freshened up the landscaping, installed new appliances, and did some routine maintenance. Within just 3 months of the purchase date, we leased all of the units and transformed Sumner Brownstones from a neighborhood blight to a vibrant half-block in an up-and-coming North Portland corridor.
Each of the 16 units is 3-story, 2-bedroom/2.5 bath with a single-car garage.
