3810 SE Division, Portland, Oregon

Known affectionately as the "Move the House Apartments," 3810 SE Division is a four-story, mixed-use building along a thriving, transit-oriented retail corridor. One challenge we faced with this lot was deciding what to do with the beautiful old Portland foursquare house that faced Division Street. Rather than demolish this house to make room for our new development, we relocated it to face 38th Avenue. With LEED Platinum-certified apartments and a permeable-surface courtyard with vegetated planters and other fixtures to manage storm water, 3810 SE Division raised the bar for green building practices in Portland.

  • Retail tenants include restaurants Little Big Burger and Shigezo, New Horizons Hair Design and two private doctors' offices
  • Bike and pedestrian friendly with easy access to major bike corridors, public transportation and neighborhood-serving businesses/services
  • High-end appliances, appointments and finishes
  • Managed locally by UD+P
