For the buildings that we own and operate, we take a lot of pride in the finer points of property management. We are fortunate to have Michelle Schaefle managing The Richmond, our historic 1924 apartment building on SE Division Avenue. A Licensed Property Manager, Michelle looks after the quality of individual units and common areas, exterior aesthetics, and maintenance. The building was elegantly remodeled in 2006 using the latest green building materials, and Michelle ensures that its beauty and environmental integrity are maintained, and that eco-friendly cleaning and painting products are used for routine maintenance and on turnovers.
Michelle is in charge of marketing for these residential and retail units, and handles all related lease documents and files. Michelle provides excellent client service: she is responsive to tenants’ needs, compassionate, and honest, and she makes a point to follow through with our tenants if they need our attention.
In our office, Michelle does all internal bookkeeping, accounting, and file management for our properties. And with her excellent skills in photography, communications, and marketing, we have no trouble keeping Michelle busy around here.
Before joining UDP, Michelle managed a veterinary hospital for 12 years. She was raised in Southeast Portland and graduated from Franklin High School. Michelle married her high school sweetheart, and they live with their two boys just a mile from Michelle’s childhood home.
